Three major digital platforms have been launched in Kazakhstan:
- Smart Data Finance (SDF)
- Integrated Tax Administration System (ISNA)
- Customs System Astana-1 (Keden)
Their launch is aimed at making life easier for businesses and citizens, increasing process transparency, and reducing administrative burdens.
Smart Data Finance – the core of tax digitalization
The key solution is Smart Data Finance (SDF) – a big data platform that automatically calculates taxes.
It already contains information on 1.9 million individual entrepreneurs, 584 thousand legal entities, and 20.4 million individuals.
Based on this data, a digital taxpayer profile is generated, which includes information on:
- property;
- place of work;
- tax history;
- ASP (social assistance) recipient status.
For companies, the system additionally records:
- payroll fund;
- number of employees;
- tax reporting;
- electronic invoices.
A special focus is placed on automating local taxes – land, property, and transport. Everything is done automatically, while built-in analytics help identify risks.
ISNA – a unified tax ecosystem
The Integrated Tax Administration System (ISNA) has combined seven outdated services into one platform, covering the full cycle from business registration to closure.
Results:
- 13 million users now have access to the system;
- up to 250,000 people can simultaneously use the taxpayer’s cabinet (previously 100,000);
- document processing now takes just seconds instead of an hour.
An important innovation is the “Rehabilitation and Bankruptcy of SMEs/LLPs” module, which moved the interaction of prosecutors, courts, and banks online. Document processing time has been reduced from 10 days to 1 day.
Astana-1 (Keden) – smart customs
The Astana-1 (Keden) system fully automates customs procedures, including remote interaction with foreign trade participants.
Features of intelligent search and hints when filling out declarations speed up the process, while AI elements reduce errors and make cargo clearance more convenient.
